To the glory of the Almighty God, the Inner Wheel Club of Isolo, in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Clubs of Opebi, Oregun, Ikeja South, and Gbagada South, held a vibrant and impactful Orange the World Awareness Campaign and Walk on 9th December 2025 — uniting sisterhood, community, and purpose in one powerful moment.
The campaign was hosted at the historic Palace of the Osolo of Isolo, HRM Oba Isa Abiodun Farounbi Shekoni, who graced the occasion with his royal presence, alongside his Olori, Yeye Oba, and Council of Chiefs, a royal endorsement that elevated the significance of the event and demonstrated the community’s collective commitment to ending violence against women and girls.
The turnout was remarkable, with over 250 community residents and market women in attendance, proof that when the message is right, the people will show up.
The event was further enriched by the expertise of the Guest Speaker, Mrs. Oluwakemi Bello, Head of Field Operations at the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, whose powerful and enlightening lecture left a lasting impression on all in attendance.
Following the programme, club members took to the streets, walking to the market, sharing flyers, and sensitizing the wider community, ensuring that the Orange the World message reached far beyond the palace walls.
The District Chairman, IWM Omolola Fakeye, and members from the collaborating clubs were proudly in attendance, lending their support and presence to a truly colourful and memorable occasion.
