On 9th January 2026, nine Inner Wheel Clubs from Groups E, G, and H of District 912 came together in a remarkable show of sisterhood and service to mark Inner Wheel Day, proving that when Inner Wheel women unite, entire communities feel the impact.
The participating clubs were the Inner Wheel Clubs of Ogba, Matori, Gowon Estate, Akute, Ijede, Igbe, Olumo, Owu, and Egbeda.
Together, they visited three health centres across Akute, extending love and care to nursing mothers at each facility: Ajuwon Health Centre, Community Health Centre, and Arufanla Health Centre.
Nursing mothers at all three centres received generous gift packages including diapers, pads, baby lotion, oil, soap, and more practical expressions of care that brought warmth and gratitude to new mothers and their little ones. The Matrons of the health centres responded with heartfelt appreciation, acknowledging the kindness and generosity of Inner Wheel with glowing praise.
The day was further crowned with a well-attended Wall of Kindness in Akute, a beautiful community initiative that embodied the very soul of what Inner Wheel stands for.
