The Inner Wheel Club of Ijapo, District 913, brought holiday joy to vulnerable women in the community through a charitable food distribution event held on December 19th, 2024.
In the true spirit of Inner Wheel’s mission of friendship and service, the club distributed essential food packages containing rice, beans, garri, groundnut oil, and spices to 15 indigent women. The gesture, timed to brighten their Christmas season, created an atmosphere of jubilation at the venue, with recipients expressing pleasant surprise and heartfelt appreciation.
Club President IWM Bukola Agunbiade addressed the gathering, sharing insights on Inner Wheel’s objectives and purpose. She encouraged all present to continue being beacons of light in their communities, embodying the spirit of service wherever they go.
Adding educational value to the event, IWM Faoazat Aragbaiye, a medical doctor and club member, delivered an informative health talk on the prevention and management of depression—a timely topic addressing mental wellness during the holiday season.
Speaking on behalf of the 15 beneficiaries, one recipient thanked the club profusely and offered prayers for its continued success and impact. The well-attended event demonstrated once again that Inner Wheel truly makes a difference in transforming lives through compassionate service.
