The project focused on addressing identified community needs through intentional action and direct engagement. The District had the honour of hosting the National Governing Body and carried out a project on October 10, 2025, as part of the activities. To mark both the International Day of the Girl Child and World Mental Health Day, the District carried out a school outreach at Government Secondary School, Gwarinpa Estate. Representatives from The New Thing Foundation International engaged students on the Dangers of Substance Abuse, while DC 911, IWM Omolola Fakeye addressed the girls on Health and Menstrual hygiene. The NR also reinforced awareness and understanding of substance abuse among the students. As part of the initiative, students received educational materials, including notebooks and mathematical sets, while female students were provided with sanitary pads. Beyond immediate outcomes, the initiative reflects Inner Wheel’s continued commitment to friendship, service and understanding.
