On Tuesday, 2nd December 2025, the Inner Wheel Clubs of Osubi, Ekpan, and Effurun GRA came together in a powerful show of solidarity, hosting a joint Orange the World Awareness Programme at Ekpan Primary School, Ekpan, bringing the global campaign against gender-based violence directly into the classroom.
The event reached approximately 60 learners and 10 teachers, creating a safe and engaging space for conversation, education, and empowerment on a topic that affects every community.
Distinguished speakers, including members of the District and the District Chairman, delivered educative and thought-provoking talks that sparked meaningful dialogue among students and teachers alike. The session was both interactive and impactful with the young learners fully engaged and responsive throughout.
One message rang loud and clear throughout the programme:
“If you see something, say something.”
A simple but powerful call to action, reminding every child in that room that their voice matters and that speaking up can save a life.
