Inner Wheel Club of Surulere joined the global community in celebrating International Women’s Day on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, with a heartwarming community outreach that embodied the spirit of compassion and solidarity.
Building a Wall of Kindness
Under the leadership of President IWM Grace Odunuyi, club members executed the Wall of Kindness Project at Downtown Community in the Ijesa-tedo area of Surulere. This initiative targeted women in the remote neighborhood, bringing practical support and encouragement to those who need it most.

The celebration was marked by the cheerful distribution of essential items including women’s clothing, household appliances, shoes, and bags to grateful community residents. The atmosphere was filled with joy as inhabitants received these thoughtful gifts, demonstrating Inner Wheel’s commitment to uplifting women and strengthening communities through tangible acts of service.
